Great concept

Pretty unique design. The long fingers are a very scary trait amongst monsters. The drawing itself needs to be refined more, especially the torso. Also, add a background and maybe a scenario of it doing something.

He has punctuation

Other than that, I get the idea here. Every creator starts off with something and later ditches it for something else. I do it too. If you can't keep making it good, then just let it be.

DarkVisionComics responds:

Exactlyyyy!

Fabulous

Great picture. You took three random-ass words and made some swanky art. Pretty design, expression, pose, and colour scheme. The envornment is a bit random but manages to fit the lightning. It sure is fun making something out of nothing. You ought to make more of these word-generated pictures.

Hideous thing

Well, it's pretty twisted. The good thing is that it's a solid, consistent art style. The bad is that that's all. There's nothing else. Just this line art. Perhaps if you used this in something, it would be acceptable.

Skrim

You forgot the "y". Anyway, this is pretty decent. The art style is cartoony but a bit too simple. The layout is clean and neat so that's good. I don't really get the joke though. Either it's an in-joke or just something random. The Argonian's facial expressions in the first half are really funny.

Very pretty

It's always good to see paper n pencil art pieces on here. I especially like the nose and the hair. The left eyebrow's end looks a bit too big/blunt. The shadow (?) next to her left eye looks very odd. Is it a shadow or eyelashes? The top lip (the shaded part) looks tacked on and not defined. Also, what is that covering her mouth? Some sort of cloth?

Flashmovieboy responds:

Well , so there are people around who criticize constructively :D Actually , these parts you called out for being weird or undefined , those parts appeared blurry on the reference pic , and as I have drawn real life models not too much , I tend to avoid defining these areas wrong , but instead I just leave them be.

Here's why

I get that it's made digitally and is probably a wonder to make through that, it just looks like a bunch of mud swashed around. That and it's really simple. It does look nice when viewed in actual size, but that's it. It doesn't really seem "artistic". Plus, almost all Newgrounds users want instant appeal, not something that you have to appreciate.

penguin100 responds:

Art is a matter of perspective. I mean if a bunch of blurry blocks or splattered paint can be considered fine art and people will spend bags of money to get their hands on it just because a particular artist made it then why would you consider this not to be artistic. Simplicity can be a fantastic tool when making art and should not be underestimated. I understand that most newgrounds users want instant appeal, but looking at it at first glance without really "looking" at it then just tossing a one or less at it isn't really fair unless they can at least justify the fact.

Excellent!

This piece is top notch, especially the textures and smooth models. Your 2D art may not be your strongest art form, but this shows that you're good in 3D. Keep making these and you'll definitely get scouted.

Quite stunning

She looks like a girl in my class, only this one's taller and not as French-looking. Anyway, as you said, this really is photo-realistic. My favorite part is the hand; it is just totally realistic. I do see the mistakes you mentioned after glancing over it: the leg positions are a tad odd, the right (her left) forearm is gorilla-sized, the neck is too wide, the feet are too rough, and some lesser ones would be that the ripples on the top half of her dress aren't perfect and that the background is too blurry. Also, I think the head is a little too big in contrast to the rest of the body.

Good idea...

...but too simple. Having main man clown be disguised as a milk man is pretty devious, but it's just lacking. You should have coloured this and put in a background; specifically a scene, such as someone that was killed by the "milk", something, y'know?

RickAlabama responds:

Thanks, and I totally get what you're saying. I may color it in and add to the background one of these days; good suggestion by the way!

My mom says I'm handsome.
