Pretty good

I don't listen to this type of music, but this is borderline professional. Beautiful voice suits perfectly to both the calm verses and energetic chorus. Standard song structure works fine. One thing I noticed was your voice stands out way too much during the chorus. It's too loud/forward in the mix. Maybe a little reverb would've helped. Anyway, good jorb.

Jacob responds:

And a good jorb on this review!
Yeah, I have a really hard time figuring out how my vocals should sound compared to the music. I felt that the chorus effect helped make it sound less present, and more a part of the music. But, I have a lot to learn!
Thanks for the review. Hopefully I can fix it in future songs. :)

Right on

I like these concept works. Definitely sounds like the music that would play for an animated thing regarding the events, particularly here on NG. The percussion and general sound of it all is pretty stark compared to the first sequence's ambience, but it still works depending on how you look at it. The tunes are all creative and pleasing to listen to - no filler shit.

As for the audio quality, I'll have to check the Soundcloud version, but it sounds good so far.

Well done.

Insanctuary responds:

It was a very proud project of mine, I am glad you enjoyed it.

Holy shit

The general sound happening in this is incredible. The structure itself may be just experimenting, but it sounds really good. Shame you haven't done anything together since

Autumn-Collapse responds:

Thanks a lot! The structure is a little weird, yeah, but in general we really liked the melodies and harmonies coming out of this thing.

We haven't played music together in a while, but we are still playing music on our own! And actually, the original two members (me [Mikey] and Zach) have made one more song together. Check it out if you want, it's called "We Remain Dormant In Fear of Seclusion"

See you around,

Oh, my

Sounds like something I'd hear in a fantasy movie. Or An Elder Scrolls game. Shit. Absolutely lovely tune. Everything sounds crisp and nothing standing out badly or anything, Well done, gurl.

LadyArsenic responds:

Thank you so much! I actually talked to one of my favorite composers of all time (Jake "VIRT" Kaufman) and he gave me so much good advice on mixing my instruments, so I can thank him for having better sound these days. I've missed doing my fantasy tunes, they always have all my feels in them. I'm so so glad that you could enjoy this piece as much as I have! Thanks for listening, youuu! <3

Oh my God

This is an incredible piece. Everything flows very well. Sounds like a mishmash of jungle, outback, and medieval adventure. Really great and memorable tunes. The transitions work just as well. Good job, you. Looking forward to the final song.

Oh, around 1:22 when it starts up again, I was thinking of adding a bit more percussion or something more frenetic sounding.

Step responds:

Hm, interesting idea! At that part I just wanted to repeat the melody that played right before it except developing it a bit more and adding tonnes of background elements and a percussive rhythm. I might try and make it a bit more exciting though, I'll see how that goes!

Thanks a lot for reviewing dude.

Mmmm

That was really good. You should get sick more often. Makes you sound like an old man, along with that magic voice that some of them have.

FairSquare responds:

Haha, thanks. Maybe i will :p

Solid

Great tune and singing. I can't really understand what you're saying, but the emotion is present. The second vocal track in the second half come up a bit too loud, so maybe turn it down a bit and, if you can, push it back a little in the mix. The final twang to end the song was too loud, as well. I think it would be better if it was a bigger chord and more sad-sounding. This isn't my type of music, but it's solid. Good job.

Conquestus responds:

Thanks for your great review. That are some good tipps I will heed. I wasn't pleased with the ending too, the whole think came up kind of aimless, so it's good to read some suggestions for the time I start reworking this.

Groovy

This sounds like something I'd hear in a Japanese racing game in the 90s. The transitions are pulled off well and the multiple passage are all unique. No lameness anywhere. It's a bit short, but that's fine. Good job.

iHolly responds:

Yeah I see what you mean :) maybe I got some subconscious inspiration from Gadget Racers (I dont think it's japanese but maybe). Thanks!

Pretty funny. Although, you really need a better mic.

Lovely

I absolutely lve thee weeoo thing at the beginning. The bass line is groovy, too. I'm not sure if it's my crappy laptop's speakers, but it sounds a bit static-y, mainly with the bass-heavy sounds. That last part was pretty "dope" but the pause before it was too long.

Also, how come you added me (of all people)?

My mom says I'm handsome.
